ID-netTM is an Interactive Web Response System (IWRS) dedicated to centralized randomization and treatment allocation. It uses a standard browser and a secure connection. It is commonly applied in multi-center trials to prevent accidental biases.
Sponsors use ID-netTM to monitor patient recruitment in real time while investigators use the same platform to allocate treatments to patients in clinical trials, using either web access or fax transmission according to technical availabilities at the participating sites.
ID-net allows users to access study specific forms and instructions, and to collect key data required for randomization and treatment allocation via the internet.
Randomization:
- Stratified designs using static or dynamic schemes
- Permuted block designs
- Variable block sizes
- Multi-stage designs
- Adaptive dose-finding designs
- Response adaptive designs
- Eligibility checks
- Multi-stage randomization and unblinding
Usage:
- Continuous monitoring of trial progress
- Collection of clinical events (withdrawal, treatment response)
- Study drug tracking and inventory (ID-supplyTM)
- Adaptative automatic drug supply process to optimize study medication usage (ID-supplyTM)
- Centralized treatment allocation
- Real time on-line reports and data extraction
- Scheduling of subjects and monitoring visits
- Fax or email confirmation
Experience over the last 5 years:
120+ randomization systems - 6700 sites
65000+ patients - 65+ countries
ID-net™ Process:
Easily customized to the specific needs of each clinical trials
IWRS vs IVRS:
IWRS:
- is more user-friendly for non-native English speakers, as they can have the time to read what is displayed
- is usually quicker for the same number of questions;
- is definitively quicker when one piece of information needs to be corrected;
- provides more feature (e.g. patient list);
- phone lines are not protected;
- quicker to change in case of protocol amendment;
- is typically preferred over IVRS for users who tried both
